Please Help Jean Quan Get
to the Denver Democratic Convention
as a Delegate, Sunday, April 13, 2-3
pm at Mills College |
|
This Sunday, California
Democrats have a chance to
choose our delegates to the
Democratic Convention in
Denver this August. The
number of delegates for each
candidate was determined by
the February primary, so
this does not affect the
delegate count for Clinton
or Obama. However, the
actual people serving as
delegates will be elected by
Congressional District on
Sunday. Learning about
this has been a fascinating
process. I am running for
one of the two Clinton seats
and would be honored if you
would help me represent our
City at the convention in
this very competitive
process.
Please pass this onto your
friends. If you have any
questions at all, call me at
home 530-8361 or send me an
email at

4th Anniversary of the
war (l-r Will, Lailan, Floyd

I have worked hard in my three
decades as an Oakland resident to
build grassroots democratic
politics -- organizing school by
school, neighborhood by
neighborhood, block by block. In
recent years I have helped
register about 1500 new voters,
many of them New Americans and young
people. In public service I have
been a leader in advocating for our
schools and youth, local economic
development, the environment,
affordable housing, and public
safety. I would be honored to
represent our city's diversity and
urban issues at the convention.
